Winrar Help Needed

I keep getting this unexpected end of archive message on some of my downloaded movies.. And I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY..

Usually the files are named something like:
Title.DVDrip.part1.rar, Title.DVDrip.part2.rar, Title.DVDrip.part3.rar ect...

But which program does this..? Winrar usually splits files and only renames the extension of the parts.
Like --> Title.DVDrip.rar, Title.DVDrip.r01, Title.DVDrip.r02 ect..


I've tried joining the files with both Mastersplitter and HJsplit, i've tried opening each of the parts in winrar, I've tried the repair file option in winrar but NOTING HELPS... NOTHING..
It's not like the different parts are only 1kb files.. They are actually each
some where like 100 Megs.. But the archive is totally empty when
opened..

And it really really sucks when you finally DL'ed like 15 parts and we're looking forward to watch the thing. AND THEN THE SHIT DOESN'T WORK
AT ALL.. And it's pretty often this thing happens..

Am I doing it wrong..? Or are people screwing up the archives when they compress/split the file.. Or are there different alternatives/programs like winrar which needs to be used..

Okay.. fixed it.. Found a newer version of Winrar..
