I signed up to a month's subscription to Rapidgator because I thought I had no choice. Most of the files are on there.

Someone warned me on here that Rapidgator was slow, and now I am finding out it is. For the past few days I've hardly downloaded anything from there. The 'speeds' are so slow, my download client gives up and tells me the file cannot be read.

For instance one 800mb file took five hours to download. I mean, what kind of 'premium' service is that. In short, it's crap.

I've just tried to download three files tonight but all FAILED. The average speed in 55KB. One 350mb file is on course to download in 2 hours - AND BY THE WAY, that one has just FAILED too..

Appalling. Mad

If you are using the download manager JDownloader, there is a way to increase the download speed.
It's just you change the box "Max Connections" to 15, as you can see in this screen...

This way your download will use 15 connections in the RG servers to download your file. Wink

I have never had any problems with RG. Usual download speed for multiple files is averaging 1 mbps using ie explorer downloads. How fast is your internet connection? Mine is about 15mbps.

It helped a bit. But I've noticed it's better to download in the early hours 1am to 5am.

I have access to R**idsh**e and Uploaded.net and they're really fast. It's only Rapidgator which is like a snail most of the time.
