Just an idea, but maybe to discourage this sort of thing and to keep everyone happy you could start a special usergroup for longstanding members of this board where they could post together separate from the main forum. People with 300 or more posts could be invited by other members to post there.
The forum has a lot of members now and I think some people are not happy with the leechers!

Call me crazy but I was of the understanding that private messages were just that, private.
Now I can understand Admins needing to check in if there's a major issue, but i'm getting the impression every pm is monitored, and that's defeating the purpose of the pm's isn't it?

Let's see 'the light'. I have posted 1,800+ posts here, and continue to post on a very regular basis. LePhex has posted well over 500 and continues to post here on a very regular basis - oh and then there's you with your walloping 6 posts - need I say more? No, but I will anyway.
If for one minute I thought the members did not want me here I would leave. I post here because my files get downloaded by the members here. I encourage others to post here for the same reason.
Obviously you are someone else on the shadows, but not someone with much in the way of reading ability (or intelligence for that matter). I am not an admin there, I am a moderator as stated in an earlier post - it's not something I am hiding at all. LePhex is a realm area moderator, not a 'super moderator' as you so incorrectly stated. If GS is concerned I would encourage him to join us at the shadows and make his own determinations.

All that aside though, it's clearly obvious that there seems to be an extreme violation of the private messaging system occurring. Not certain links being shared around, but Admins invading the privacy of this forums members.
I know Admins can go into the pm's of others, but they should only do so when there's a case of extreme abuse going on. What I see going on here is EVERY pm being monitored, and that is an invasion of privacy.

Perhapa the addition of some new mods here may remove the need for members to feel it necessary to find other places where they can talk and post without feeling threatened by certain content and the like. This is just a suggestion and afterall it is your forum GS and we all thank you so much for this place. Without you we all would never have become such good friends.
So GS.... thank you for everything. We all do respect and admire you. We may not allways see eye to eye on some issues but we have all remained loyal to this forum. Yes we all have from time to time invited our friends to a new forum so we can all get toghter to talk, post and have some fun, but we have never left here and that should cound for something.
