Hi all
Just got a new iPod 80 gig video and i'd like to put some "movies" on it for when i travel.
The porblem is that i've a ton of avi. format and i need to convert, if possible to mp4 . format...

I'm working on a mac G5 system, just to let you know...

Any insight would be great!

thanx in advance and i know someone out there can help

Funnily enough, I was on the lookout for someone else wishing to convert the other way, from .mp4 to .avi!

You could try this. It is a commercial program but I'm sure it could be found elsewhere without actually paying for it.

How to convert AVI to iPod (MP4) using freeware:
http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html

By the way, a good place to find out about this kind of stuff is http://www.videohelp.com/. Click the link on the left side for "How To Convert". Much of the software they discuss there is available in both Mac and PC versions.
