Like most guys on here, porn to me is a hobby. Very Happy

I'm always on the look out for new porn. I very rarely throw anything away. I always store it on my external hard-drives. So far this year I have gone through four terabytes of storage. It sounds a lot but when you think a whole HD scene can take up as much as 2.5gb, then say you have around 20 of those scenes per week. It's not long before your one terabyte storage drive is full up.

What do others think? Smile

This honestly dosent sound like a hobby, to be honest, it sounds like an addiction.

As for space, Get a good converting software program and convert your HD video's making them smaller in size but keeping the same picture quality. It will save you over half your storage space. If mainstream movies can go from a 4GB file to 700mb - 1GB for a 2hour movie, a 30min scene could go from 4GB to probably about 350mb. Codecs such as Xvid & Dvix are quickly losing ground as choice to x246/MP4, due to the better resolution & file size.

But unlike the movie sharing scene, people who post porn are usually doing it to make money, bigger files mean more links, more links means more money. That's probally why people keep asking to get R@p1dG@t0r to be added to the allowable file hosts.

As Twiztidskater says, you have an addiction. You should delete those videos you have seen or download in non HD. I have 100Gb's and a lot of videos but I'm always deleting old videos and download new.

HD porn scenes are huge these days. Some of these things are over 2GB a file size. I collect just one website and it takes 300GB alone. A TB isn't that much for HD porn. Just a few years back most files were like 150MB for a scene. HD looks great, but the space it requires is sometimes not worth it.

I don't think you have an addiction. I just think it's a space issue. We just don't yet have the technology to store HD videos in vast quantities...

Petabyte hard disks are the answer (when they eventually get released !)
