Rapidshare are allowing uploads of files up to 300MB now!

I noticed this tonight and just thought I'd let you all know.

yes, I've seen this, the only thing is that I get 1.4mbs d/l, but when i try to upload a 300 megs file, my computer goes into shock, starts having convolultions and dies.....

I've noticed it too, it's been available for a week or two. A subtle ploy by RS to get people to upload less files and, for the premium members, less points to give out from downloads towards free extensions to accounts.

Personally I think 100Mb is a reasonable limit. I'd rather d/l or u/l several rar or hjsplit files than commiting time to one big file, especially on u/l. 100Mb takes well over an hour to send to them.

I can't upload jack shit at present. Not sure if it's just my connection, but every time I queue up even a single upload (let alone the multi-upload thing), at some point through the process I get an error connecting to server page. In other words it drops out.

I have so much freaking pron to upload and it's now been 3 or 4 days without a successful upload to RS. Oh gods of pR0n... smile down upon me.

Is it just me or have they changed back to 100MB files?... Strange!
