Downloading Files

I have been trying to download files from Rapidshare. When I do this it says my computer can't read the file type. Iam assuming that they are "zipped" or "compressed" What do I need to do to or what program do I need to view the files once they are downloaded? Please HELP!!!!

You will need to have some good media players to watch the files such as vlc media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and also get the k-lite codec pack which includes media player classic http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm. That should be all you need to watch any file type.

You will also need to have a rar program such as winrar and a zip program such as winzip to open zip and rar files. You can find free versions of these on download.com.
