OSX dvd to avi (etc)

any mac users know of any progs that will let me rip my dvds to avi or other compressed formats?

(i know how to rip the dvds to remove the copy protect)

Try Nerovision, part of newest version of Nero Burning ROM for MAC. I have not practice with MAC version, but in Win it works. In Nerovision open "Make DVD -Video", then "Import Disk" and it could create u *.mpg file. If want *.avi use various of converters ... .(VirtualDub.....)
