And people said it ended with Revenge of the Syth.
Ok, so this is not actually new. But i just stumbled across it a few days ago so its new to me. And its not connected in any way with George Lucas. But its still rather good. Released last year, Star Wars: Revelations is a independent movie based on the Star Wars saga made by a group of hardcore Star Wars fans and a small movie - production company. The movie is around 45 minutes long and considering it was made by a all volunteer cast and crew the quality is very good. Far beyond what i was expecting. Nobody working on the project was paid anything, it was completely a work of love by everyone involved.
I wont go too much into the plot, i dont want to ruin it for anyone. I will say this - Darth Vader makes an appearance. His costume is great, looks just like the original but the voice seems just a tad bit off.
The movie is available for free download at:

http://www.panicstruckpro.com/revelations/

I downloaded a copy already and burned it to DVD. It came out quite well. All Star Wars fans should check this out ASAP. Im not saying its the best thing ever, but its just interesting to see what a bunch of die-hard fans can come up with. Maybe you will love it, maybe you will hate it. Thats up to you.
Did anyone else know about this already? I feel like i must have been living in la-la land to have never heard of this.

The file size is 252mb, thats not very big even if you are using dial up.

Quoteits not connected in any way with George Lucas

Then the movie probably rocks.

QuoteNobody working on the project was paid anything, it was completely a work of love by everyone involved.

To which George Lucas replied: " I dont understand what you're saying people."

The TV series is in development and is actually set to take place between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope. Because that's a 30 odd year gap.

We could only WISH they'd do something set after ROTJ. Thrawn Trilogy? That'd be great on the big screen.

Anyway, i've heard of a fan movie before, a few years ago in fact. Lucas will never acknowledge them as canon, same as the novels. But both these fan movies and the novels always make an effort to tie into the movies.

Go figure huh? Confused

Everything I had heard was the TV series was to follow ROTJ and what happens between Han and Leia their offspring Luke's rise of the Jedi order and more. But we all know the Internet is always right and you would never find any untrue or false information. Rolling Eyes Looking forward to see what else ya share MM.
