PLease help...Need new GIF!!!

Does anyone know of a good (free) GIF maker. I want to make my own, but with all the proggies I've downloaded, they won't let me save it, once I've created it! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
