Server has been seized, this morning, by the police. And this time, it's not a hoax. For those that knew what it is and will be unable to reach it.

They may yet return. If Swedish law is what they say AND the PB servers don't actually carry any copyrighted or illegal material, the authorities may have a problem bringing charges.

I've been told that the last time this happened to pirate bay, they were just switching over their servers and it was just a joke.... Their site does say that they'll be "up and functional within a day or two"... so who knows.

I've just been to the site and it's back up and running!

Pirate Bay was a nice site. I used it and it was pretty damn good.

Last developements in this case: after being chased out of Sveden, a Dutch site-host called Nforce served the site for a while, but the local RIAA/MPAA, ("Stichting Brein", or the brainfoundation he he) who claims the site is now hosted by LeaseWeb.
But it looks like a temporary hostyingn is now done by a company called port80, suspected to be an alias for PRQ, the original Swedish host.
