I am curious if it is possible to copy/convert streaming video from a flash player into downloadable files (avi, mpeg, etc.).

I often view streaming video from a popular webcam site. I would like to record some of these videos if at all possible. The site uses Macromedia Flash Player.

Has anyone had any experience with this, and if it is possible, can you guide me in the right direction?

Also try Camstudio. It's freeware that captures any video and audio that you can see on your screen. Set the framerate and resolution to whatever you like (to reduce final file size), or just leave it with the default settings.

Files can be saved as AVI or Flash.

Glad you like it. I use it for everything, especially streaming media that "can't be saved." hehe
