Mad Passwords on rar files: I hate them!

Every month I delete a couple of MB's of password-protected rar and zip files. Because I'm too damn lazy to write all those passwords on a piece of paper, my download folder gets filled with useless files I can't open.

Protected files without paswords, downloaded between may 1st and may 16:
BCLS_TABOO.wmv.rar
CS1.rar
cutie4.rar
G-DD.rar
HRT-CTN3_1.rar
le_jardin_du_paradis.rar
Lita_-_Nasty_prospects_5.rar
NDA_SB.rar
oials12.rar
P-y_S-g__01_sc12.wmv.rar
Rose_at_Mikes.rar
Stacy_teach_my_a.part1.rar
Gabriella.zip

Ow man, that's soo annoying!!!
Just needed to get that off my chest.... Evil or Very Mad

I wonder why anyone wants to put a password on a rar file (or any file) especially if it's posted at RS. If the poster has an RS account then surely they'd like all their files to be downloaded as much as possible to get another month of free premium membership. That's probably is the same for MU and SU. I signed up with RS about 9 months ago and been 'free' ever since.

Ok, the links may get posted elsewhere by someone, but I don't really care. If people get enjoyment from what I upload then what does it matter which forum they belong to? There must be many who have never heard of this place but have the opportunity to see things I like.

Hey Werf I think I have several of those vids from your list on my HD too. Without the password of course. I find it really difficult to keep track of them also. Whenever I see a password I either make a folder and give it the password as a name or edit the file name with the password. That helps most of the time but not always, sometimes the pw is not properly labled in the thread or is missing all together. Confused

So I end up like you just deleting them after a while. I'm too lazy or busy or just have no idea where to find them, especially after a long night of leeching. Laughing I give up too easy I guess.

I think it would be helpfull if all files with pw's were labled something like this for example... Password: password

Something that stands out so lazy people like me can find them easier. Laughing

Werf and photo, I have a password breaker that finds lost passwords for rar files (amongst others). The website is here if you need more info: http://www.lostpassword.com/kit.htm

It might take a long time to crack the files depending on the password used.

Let me know if you guys want me to upload it.
