changing e-mail

What happens if somebody has given wrong e-mail address when he changed e-mail?
So he can't activate the new e-mail address.

He used: david.paradise69@yahoo.com (that is an invalid e-mail)
his real e-mail is: david.paradise69@yahoo.co.uk

Please help him somehow.
