I was trying to contact ORON because there payment system to renew is all stopped working. On there news section it says something about paypal. It shows it is deleted. Only way they show to renew is credit card or webpay. Is paypal being stopped or something. And if so is webpay any good?

I can't imagine they would ax the paypal option on their end. So many people have paypal, it would be foolish to get rid of it without a very good reason. If it is perma stopped, I would bet it was stopped on paypal's end, although it still works with MU renewals.

Would not work for me either. There is a link to Oron re-sellers, but they are charging more. Count me as 'NOT HAPPY' with Oron at the moment! Mad

I just lost half my files because I could not renew with the option to use paypal and now am without premium. Why the heck would they do that when people don't have the option they use to pay using paypal. They should not delete any files just because they was not downloaded in a while if your not premium for a a day or 2. Many i talked to sent emails to them asking and they won't even reply yet. Any have new info there?

That at least makes it sound like they're not parting ways with paypal. Paypal recently did an update over it's billing and whatever else was involved. The warning I got was I had to agree or lose my account in the near future. So that might have something to do with it.

What do you mean you got a warning? A warning about what? Was this in an email they sent you and if so did everyone who had a premium got a warning like this? I recently renewed with a credit card since paypal was not an option at this time as I never got an email from them...unless it is buried somewhere in spam mail I cant find . Could you explain a little more in details please?

The warning was from paypal, not oron.

"Hello *****,

PayPal is updating the way we send you your account information. Please agree to our Electronic Communications Delivery Policy today. This ensures that we can continue providing you with your account information electronically, including transaction receipts, account statements, and annual disclosures...."

I received about a half dozen messages/warnings from paypal. I was told repeatedly that I risked losing my paypal account if I refused to give consent. If you think I'm exaggerating, then put in any search engine:

paypal froze my account

Add in "2011" if you want mostly incidences of this happening this year.

I always strongly suggest that people with paypal accounts NOT keep too much money in them. If you win an auction for something expensive, it's pretty simple to move money back into paypal to pay for it. And a lot safer.

I got that warning from paypal I remember now a few months ago. I just clicked I agree because I never had trouble with paypal for 10 years I did business with them. The only thing I never would do is but a bank account number there with them with a great deal of money.

Better use your credit card and renew before they start deleting your stored files if you have any there

I wonder why there is no official statement here (or in the news) from the oron support about the paypal issue.

Maybe they don't really care about...dunno.
Wednesday is gone and nothing happened.

And how much money do the affiliates loose because of this (rebill and new sales)?!?

Oron also must loose LOTS of money too in this matter about PayPal issue.
