There appears to be an increasing number of posts drawing the comment "...search first".

I use it, and it is very rare - 2 or 3 out of all my posts - that a duplicate occurs... and that is the result of naming differences. I also adopt the policy of "if in doubt, leave it out!" to avoid the likelihood duplication.

It only takes a second, and it prevents being jumped upon...

With the volume of posts here, it should be standard procedure.

Perhaps a sticky at the top of each posting forum might help...??

@Sealion , bro the search tool is real useful , but you have to tweak it a bit to get the best results.

Just change the app fields to get better results!

For me the biggest improvement in search results comes when you change the Show Results option from Topics to Posts. Some of our threads here are more than 20 pages long and if you're searching for just one word, it can be pretty hard to find it in the results lists.

I have been slowing down my post count lately to hit the big 2000 at a more appropriate time, but I can't help but notice that MM's recent cleanup just gave me a lot more "room under the cap."

Sorry Elmo , I lock some but we cant have all this crap clogging up the fourm. I lost a bunch myself but I never did care about post count anyway, BTW whats after Godfather>>>????
