how do i view RAR files?!

I bet this answer has already been posted. I swear I looked....for a while at least.

How do I get the capability to view RAR files? Is there a free download somewhere? I searched the net, and everywhere seems to charge for it. Why do folks save in the RAR format anyways? Any help would be appreciated!!

And Maria we use Rar for big files so we dont have to upload 1 pic at a time..
