I just checked the 'recycled' tab in my Oron account. I found this example:

Checking, it looks like I lost alot of my Domai links this way. My Domai thread is effectively dead
. Even my backup files has 'expired'
I have a current premium account so I have no idea why my files expire.
This is quite worrying, given Oron says they keep files indefinitely.
Any explanation from the admins and the Oron bosses running this site will be much appreciated!

Sounds like they got reported, especially if it was only Domai.

Not just Domai, I had tons and tons of unpublished files that i was storing to download for a later date, but never got a chance to download (due to the 15gb/3 days limit) over months and months, and going back, I noticed they have disappeared! They were never reported! I'm not sure, but I wonder if ticking the 'publish' box gives those files a limited life span. If an Oron admin can clarify this then it would be great!

I am also sure I had published files prior to 6 months ago. I am missing 'published' files up to September 22nd/23rd 2010. Then after that date, I still have my 'published' duplicated files. Then looking in the deleted files are all the expired published ones!!!

I've never clicked the publish box, so I don't really know what to say about that. Like you, I have a ton of stuff uploaded that I haven't posted yet. I guess I better do something about that! 
Have you tried contacting oron directly? I've contacted them about a wide variety of things and have so far received pretty fast replies.

But on my profile it says it expires on 4th of May
I told them about the files expiring, They looked like they deactivated my account saying the account was 'free' and not premium, so the account must have expired at some point, which freaked me out, I asked for and renewed my password, I emailed them with a screen shot, they reactivated it, and I renew for one more year of partnership.
Maybe it is a bug? I did sign up sometime in March as a free user, then I bought a premium in May. Fingers crossed it all is good from now on!
