Dead links question to Administrators

Dear Admin who reads this!

Hi, i have a quick qeustion: why arent there any photos or links visible for me in the topic below:

A lot of times pictures won't show up if you are using IE browser. I recently changed mine and all pics pop up all the time now. But if you ever want to double check to see if some link really is there, just click quote. If there is an invisible link of any kind, it will show up.

So no, you are not going crazy!

Im using Firefox lately, so IE problems are not affective.

I tried the "quote" thing you said, no links at all.

On the other hand there are not a single pic or link all across the entire 50-page thread - i just find that kinda interesting. If there was only one - but there isnt... (((

Alan,

When the new management took over they changed the site to preclude 'on site' hosting of pictures. Any threads that utilized that feature are now a wasteland of links that will not likely be downloaded because nobody can tell what they are.

This may have been done to simply save space on this server but a more cynical person than myself might suggest that this was a tactic designed to ensure that those links will slowly fade away thus promoting Oron as the predominate file host here.

It only hosted images, no files (limit was round about 500 KB).
But some members used the image description to post their file links.
So non-member (and google) could not see anything.
