Video Splitter?

Can someone reccomend a simple, effective and most of all free video splitter? I have tried several and they are either poorly implemented, not fully functional or both. I have a scene that I would like to share but find that I am unable to effectively split the file. Thanks.

SolveigMM AVI Trimmer is very fast.

However, I often have to re-encode split files after splitting because they sometimes won't play very well. But it's no bother.

I always use SolveigMM AVI Trimmer.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions. *Red Label*, the program you suggested was one that I had tried in the past but found that it was 'crippled' Now I have a working copy, thank you.
