previews

can anyone tell me why so many previews don`t show? Thanks

It's usually because the site that hosted them has deleted the file for some reason.

I am rather confident that the problem lies with the forumophilia coding itself. Using IE7 as browser most thumb previews do not show up at all. Using IE6, firefox or opera all preview thumbs are visible (excluding the deleted ones of course).

Hopefully one of the technical staff can confirm this theory, and see if the coding can be fixed for IE7?

When I find a preview is missing and I know the page is fully loaded I make sure java is enabled temporally for that site.
This often allows the pic to be seen.
I use Firefox and the "no script" plugin.

I have had this problem as well, the site is very erratic. Sometimes when using the search function I can see that attachements exist for a given post but when I click through to the post the the attachement refuses to load. Similarly, often when going back to a previous page, pictures that had just loaded are no longer visible. If I hit the refresh button on my browser sometimes the 'hidden' pictures will load. This is clearly an issue with the forum itself not the hosts or our browsers.

As a side note; all of the pic-hosts that insist on displaying pop-ups, pop-unders, re-directs and shitty little ads on the bottom right side of the page, are really becoming annoying. Really, how many times do I have to close out the ad for livejasmin? Do they thnk that making me see it repeatedly will encourage me to subscribe? It just pisses me off.

This site is becoming increasingly difficult to manage and I am beginning to wonder how long I will keep visiting.

Use Firefox and NoScript. You can then control pop-ups. I don't see any pop-ups.

Maybe you`re using bad imagehost!
