What's your favorite file sharing program?

I used to use E-mule but have not used anything for a while. So I am out of the loop on these at the moment.
I am looking for something and was wondering which to get. Can someone help?

1. What kind of DL speed do you get?
2. Is it spyware free?

Soulseek, but it's mainly reserved for "hard-tofind" songs/mp3.

Dear Victor 1, e-mule is OK, but you can try lphant ( http://www.lphant.com/ ) it is also free, and you can down/up load in the e-mule/e-donkey web as well in the bitorrent web at the same time. The only bad thing with lphant is that an adware is installed to present advertisements in your computer. Wether the adware page as the lphant page assure this is a safe adware. The lphant developer (called JUANJO) says the reason for this is to get monetary support to mantain lphant as a free software. Apart of that I think is the best sharing agent

I've tried several but seem to get painfully slow download results. That may just be because of my ISP though.

Limewire has a lot of postings for whatever I search for but many are bogus links - check the file sizes before downloading - a video sized only 10 or 20kB ain't going to be the actual video.

WinMX - has decent search results but downloading is often slow.

Kazaa / KazaaLite - again good search results but downloads take ages.

I've drifted away from using these places and generally use forums such as this to find stuff which I can download from RS, MU, SU and FC. That way I can get a good idea of what's on offer from preview pics and the download speeds are better. They all have their limitations especially the download limits if you're using them for free. For me RS seems to be the best and that's why I signed up for a premium account. But it all depends on what 'reception' you get where you live. Some people swear by FC but for me it's a relatively slow process.

Kazaa-Lite Resurrection is my weapon of choice.

I agree that the search results are good and the download speeds are very slow...

But ever since KaZaa became a pay service...I get away with what I can.

I used LimeWire forever. Amazing download speeds. But I was only searching for music. Then I got ultra paranoid after reading some online stories about RIAA lawsuits against average joes downloading music. So I stopped and deleted all my bad stuff and now just pay 99 cents per song on iTunes.
