I have just found out about this Firefox add-on. It is well described here: http://www.downloadsquad.com/2010/08/13/foxyspider-is-a-web-crawler-for-image-and-video-enthusiasts/
Basically it scans a web page and its links and displays only the images and video clips it finds in them. I have tried it in several TGP sites and it worked like a charm.
Does anyone else use it?

I installed something that used the Spider Monkey script decoder (or what ever it does).
The memory usage of FF kept growing and the program would not properly shut down.
After removal Fire Fox became well behaved again.

Just for reference if you also experience the problem.

I didn't quite follow you... Smile Are you talking about your experience with FoxySpider? From my experience FoxySpider does not cause any shut down problems. It does consume memory (makes sense to me), but everything comes back to normal after the crawl session is over.
I am a paying customer of FoxySpider, and I think it worth any penny Cool My porn surfing experience is so much easier.

I may have confused the two software items.

http://www.mozilla.org/js/spidermonkey/

and FoxySpider.

As I remember. Spidermonkey must is installed for FoxySpider to run.

However, if you don't have problems...great.

You might check FF memory usage now and then for awhile to see if there is escalating memory usage...if you know how.

I don't think FoxySpider is related to SpiderMonkey in any way, with the exception of the word "spider" in both of them Smile
In any case, I didn't have to install SpiderMonkey to run FoxySpider.

ok. I must have installed something else that required the script interpreter.

I'll try this prog and see how it does.
I see it's not free and I have not found a way around that.

It is free for 30 days. After that trial period is has some limited functionality or you can decide to pay. I did, and it was the best $4.95 I've ever spent Smile
