repost... repost... Repost...

Am I the only one that's noticing a trend here... lately I seem to keep coming across vid posts that I and others have already posted here before. I've seen 3 today and 2 yesterday that I posted already not mention the countless one's that I've seen from other great posters here.

I know there is a lot of content here and some of it may need to be reuped, but a little searching before posting would be nice. Hey we all make mistakes, but cmon the Maria vid by the lake has been posted 3 times that I have counted and once with sound.

You have a valid point sir. The only instance where I think we should turn our heads and shrug is if it is upd to different share site. IE. megaupload v. rapidshare. or other etc.
I for one offer if I am guilty of said mistake I see it as a duty to edit the offending post with a replacement video of equal or better value. Sounds like a fantastic beginning of etiquette in this fine community.
I also submit that the mistaken offender be PM'd so as not to embarrass said person in open forum.
Any seconds.

I also wonder if would be acceptable if reposts are okay in a different format. You lads are quite fortunate not to have alot of the ever watching REAL PLAYER format being posted, as well as the annoying Q-time applet. Or in general when the stickies come home. A general rule for mpg/avi/wmv/divx.(insert other choice here)
I only bring it up because there has been a few that have passed by in realplayer format. I wanted to reup them in a more friendly format but didn't want to step on original posters toes. Unless I am believing in an urban legend of being watched, inwich case a very dumb submission by me.

with respect, i disagree, no not about the state of markino's fly, or with khound's suggestion of re-posts in a different format, which i think is a good idea if you have the time to do it.
no its the comments about doing a search and informing people of re-posted vids i dont agree with, you see all the vids i have on my drives i have nearly always re-named them to suit myself, therefore doing a search is pointless on my part and this would also apply to people doing thier own search, an example is a recent 3 times posted version of 'violet' in 'teachers pet' of course i did notice this was re-posted but i also noticed that it was re-posted on only one rapidshare link while my version was far too big for only one link, therefore i would suggest that my version was the better quality version,
but i'm not just nitpicking here because that offers choice,
some people would prefer a smaller all-in- one version because it takes up less space on your drive,
and if i had pointed out that it was a re-post you would then have to pm a mod to delete it thereby causing them more work,

recently i posted a vid of melissa ashley and found that someone else also posted the very same vid a couple of days later and both on rapidshare,
i wondered how this could be possible so i downloaded the other vid to see,
i found that the other vid had about 30 seconds more at the beginning than mine so i kept that one and deleted mine.
the 'schoolbus' i recently posted was the most complete and best quality version i had found and i have quite a few versions of this, but you know what? if it was posted again i would download it again only because its my fav vid and probably i am the only person to spot that my version had roughly 15 seconds missing.

i'm just trying to point out that although vids are re-posted sometimes there are very subtle changes to them, therefore i suggest they be left alone.
yes i did notice that the 'maria' vid was posted three times but as that vid is not one of my priorities i just gently let my finger move the scroll on my mouse and went on to the next post, no-one got hurt or embarrased and it was no big deal to me.

a couple of months back i posted a full good quality vid and someone here posted just a preview clip of the same vid, guess what? he got about five replies of 'wow' 'great' etc.. while i got one reply of 'please post more'
now that did annoy me,
right now over on the celeb section there are three posts about natalie portman, one is full of nice pics, my one has pics and a vid of the movie 'closer' and a third has only 'imagecash' pics of that very same movie,
and yes you guessed it the 'imagecash' post has the most replies,
yes this does piss me off a little but then again it goes back to giving people a choice, and if they choose to click on imagecash posts then that is entirely up to them, so be it.

With every post a new and valid point, making my analytical pea brain whirl. What about general threads in their respective categories. Let us say in the celebrity forum, a Natalie Portman thread, and all users added to that thread videos and pictures. Granted it takes the whoop out of your own thread and I guarantee some of us will be saddened by the quality of bullshoit that will follow a great post but in time with acceptance it could work.
Also, this wunderful place has already been somewhat broken into categories, so instead of everyhting (EVEN QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS) and I mean everything ending up in videos. Take the video of two lovely redheads enjoying each other and put it in a thread named redheads in Les. Section. Once again all members can than add girl on girl redheads to that thread.
As I type this I wonder, but in theory I think it is sound. Topics would become easier to follow, reposts should come to an end. If a better quality, different format, or other upload site of same vid comes along. Add an etiquette rule where new poster must mention original poster. Everybody wins and no feelings are hurt.
Couldn't happen overnight, wouldn't want to break up some of your guys fantastic threads. Just a jump off idea to start and from inception point to the future concept. If anyone likes the idea, and if so a compiled list of what the general threads names will be would be a next step. As well as and I am sorry if it were to add to workload, okay with mods. Though selling point to the mods is it will become easier for spam policing and undesirable content removal. Their respective mailboxes may become a little heavier with PM's like "bastard soandso is posting blank in insert name thread please remove and send him to the third circle of hell."

I see both sides, and I think it all boils down to lack of proper ID for the stuff people put up. I do a search everytime before I put stuff up and I always run into problems. Take for example Molly Rome. I wanted to put up some of the vids I have that I have not seen here, so ran search for molly AND rome, and a couple of the hits were for Little Alice. This stems from the website that those people got their videos from, that website called her Little Alice, and people that DL those would not know better if they did not already know her as Molly Rome. Thankfully some other member recognized her and put the Molly Rome tag on so it would show in a search. So now I know that a couple of the vids are already here, but under the wrong name. Now I can eliminate those, but there may be more vids under "tiny tits" or "curly haired teen" or something else I cannot think to search under. The Veronika stuff I started to put up is another example. I searched under her name, and turns out there are multiple models with that name. I found a thread where some people wanted more, followed some links and decided that some of the vids I had would be welcome and started to post them, then someone writes in to the post and says they are already here, so I stop.

I agree that the more well known girls should be obvious and not reposted, but I also think that people should take the time and find out all they can to properly ID their posts.
