Help posting videos

Hey all, kind of new here. I was thinking of uploading videos but I want to ask a few questions first of all just to make sure I follow rules or guidelines etc. Ok so I have downloaded a few videos from here before and from what I see the layout of the certain forum is....

1) Like a thumbnail of pictures from the video
2) Links to where to download (rapidshare etc)

So what I was wondering is how do I get the thumbnails ? Like how do I make one of the videos I am posting up ?

And also, I have just recently got a rapidshare premium account, and was wondering if someone could help explain how I post videos here ? Do I upload them onto my rapidshare account ? If so, how do I then get the URL for the video to post in the thread ?

One more thing, do I need like a better account to upload all my videos ? Will it make a difference in download speeds for people to download or whatever.

I tried to search this site for a video posting guide but couldn't find one. So could someone please explain how I properly share my videos with you all ? Thanks very much in advance ! Oh, and sorry if these are nooby questions

We have all been noobys at one point, not knowing which end of the fork to use.
To start with the thumbs of vids.
It's actually not called thumbs but previews.
You need to download a program for doing them.

I have used, and is satisfied with since over 4 years, ImageGraberII.
I have XP on my pc.
Just realised that attachements have been deleted from this forum so the referens to download the attachement is no longer valid.

Play with it yourself, click buttons to see what happends.
It's quite simple. If you get stuck, ask me.

Now you have a preview image.

Next you need to do is to decide, should you upload the vid as it is or do you wanna pack it.
If you wanna pack it then you need to have a proggy for that.
Check the topic above under File Joiners / Splitters
and make your pick. winrar, winzip, 7zip are all ok to use.
If your file is larger than 200 MB you need to split it before it can be uploaded.
winrar, winzip, 7zip have all a built in function were you can select how large the chunk should be.
Pook around in the program and you will find it.

Now you have a file(files) to upload.

Strictly from a free downloaders point of view, MegaUpload is currently the fastest and with the most generous allowance of quantity per timeunit.
Rapidshare is for Premium users the best and fastest if a download manager is used.
A lot of data download allowed if Happy Hours are utiliased.

Upload to Rapidshare.
Log in to your account, enter premium zone.
There you will see a line Upload files
Click on that.
A new window opens with an Upload button.
Click, browse, select file/files Submit
Link(s) are now uploaded to your account.
When finished, close the upload window, and the link(s) will appear in your File Manager at the page in the Premium zone.
You need to refresh the page first.

Select your favorite Imagehost to upload your preview to.
Follow instructions at the upload page.
If there is no instructions then the sequence at most sites is:
Browse, select file, click upload button.
A new page will open with the download link.
Select the line where it says "BBCode for forums thumbs" or similar.

Now you have link(s) for preview and link(s) for video.
