Yup, it disappeared when the forum software was updated.
Along with tapeview.

You have the global search and a tip is to use +keyword+keyword(+as many keywords you can think of to narrow down the search) possibly in combination with the posters nic. Set "Display search results" as posts.
As an example could keywords be for a model and/or site: +first name+lastname+sitename

Do any of the mods know if New GS has plans to bring it back, or explained why it was removed in the first place?

As I said before, it's in everyone's interest for it to return.

I have brought it up several times in PMs.
Haven't got any definate answer in any direction.
I would say that my questions have either been ignored or brushed aside with one word: Later.
