What are people using to view the AVI files? none of them work for me... in Winamp, Media Player, or a couple others I have tried. Crying or Very sad

Try VLC, it plays most anything.

Just install K-Lite codec pack , en play the files with Windows Media Player Classic (Play every file without any problems)

VLC is what I use, no need to keep downloading codecs etc, has always worked for me amazingly well.

Me too, VLC Media Player is the best & easiest option without the hassle of codecs.

I've also used Media Player Classic (not Windows Media Player Classic) for some troublesome videos.

You may either install the missing videocodecs (guess that's your problem) or you use a player that don't need them, like mentioned above

Download DivX Plus Player. It installs all the necessery codecs and will provide you with an automated upgrade of the Player and any new codecs. http://divx.com
After the download and installation has finished go into WMVPlayer select the tab Playback and then Options (More options?).
Select the tab Filetypes.
Put a tic in the box Select all. Submit, OK or whatever it is in your language.
Now WMV will play your .avi files as well as many other filetypes.

This page has been saved as an html file to prove it ones existed.
