The weirdest cover versions

OK, not really a game, but something along this line:

Tell us the weirdest cover version of any song you know. Upping sadly is not allowed, so you have to load it somewhere else...

Rules:

-It must be a cover, so no "original" weirdnesses.

-The original song must still be recognizable at least a bit.

-All sorts of "Weirdness" is allowed, e.g. funny instruments, a really bad performance, spaced-out singers dozing off at the mike and snoring loudly, a hip-hop version of a renaissance opera or translation into an obscure language (Russian does not count as "weird", Papua pidgin or Latin definitely...)... take your pick!

-Provide original title and band

-Only ONE SONG per post

I'm not going to post any music links, as it is against the rules, but I will say that Pat Boone released an album of covers in 1997.


One of the covers: Van Halen's "Panama"

He made it into a jazzy/big band type of song.

The whole album is pretty sad if you a rock purist!

William Shatner's cover of Common People (originally by PULP) was particularly bad if I recall...
