has file hosting sites spoilt the fun in searching for porn

Porn has always been on the net but to get free good porn you had to do abit of hunting and sharing back in the early days of the internet. Well i have been using the internet now since early 2002 and i started with Kazza and i remember waiting hours and even days for something like a 50mb porn clip that was mostly of poor quality, But it was fun hunting for that something special and trying to avoid fake files and viruses and other dodgy stuff that crazy P2P users like to share. I remember after afew months of using p2p that new files were harder to find because the was way to much duplicate files being shared with differnt names, but you would still keep searching and if you were lucky you might come across something special.

Then the was a Spoofing craze that went about and it was fun why it lasted but still it was hard work finding good working Spoofs. I also even tried programs like Access driver to crack some sites but i found it was very hard work so went back to torrents and p2p but still it was fun putting the hard work in finding good porn.

Then Torrents came along and yas the sort of made it even more easy but you still had to put some work in to searching for good active torrents, and if you had a slow connection speed you could be waiting days even weeks to download something of a large size, Plus you also had to seed on the bigger sites to keep your ratio up.

Then we got file sharing sites it it was like every porn clip you ever wanted came free over night (well most vids) and it was just too easy to get porn and even faster downloads cos you are now not downloading from someones slow pc for your porn files. Also if you know how to use the likes of Google to look for files then you could in most cases get what you want with little hard work.

I decided to make this topic because i have got a 500gb external hard drive, that i stream porn to my PS3 so i can watch on my 42" HDTV. Sometimes when im board and fancy watching abit of porn i end up skipping a shit load of files to find something i want to watch and i have now decided that im gunna delete all the porn that i never watch and just only keep my favorite gems... Dont get me wrong i would say 95% of the porn i have is all top stuff, but what is the point of keeping it if im never gunna watch alot of it? I could go and buy another external hard drive but that will just end up getting clutterd up with way too much porn thanks to file hosting sites like rapidshare making porn way to easy to get. Anyhow do you think File hosting sites have spoilt the fun in looking for porn? to me porn is like fishing, years ago you would have to wait for a great catch, But now looking for porn is like fishing with sticks of dynamite dont you think?

BTW i never got round to using newsgroups for my porn back in the early days so cant comment about them.

yes, more convenient and reliable access with file hosts have taken all the "fun" away from downloading porn the same way broadband took all the "fun" away from dial up.

Anticipation only heightens expectation. I remember the days of Kazaa and bearshare... or even p2p hosts like morpheus... they were all great in their day. But in this time, now, things are ready for you in an instant and I wouldn't have it any other way

To be fair, those days were not fun! It just meant you had to check pics rather than vids half the time. Although i still joke with my friends how we could click a page, go to make a cup of tea and then come back and it might just be finishing loading it up.

To be fair, there are a few things i miss - Online games where it was click page, not streaming. Planetarion and whatnot, seemed to bring a good community feel unlike many now.

Also i remember the days hardcore porn was banned here, finding porn at a mates fathers secret stash was way more fun than waiting for a page to load up! Nowadays the net takes away that fun, i mean if i was in school id just check the net for a naked female babe, but back then we had little idea except checking the page 3.

So hey, i digressed, back to the Q. I dont think it took the fun out, that was gone before. But also i appreciate now how i hunt my mind for stuff, rather than just the net. What i mean is, that old video we found in the secret stash? Cocktail orgien. I had to scour the net for that, and FINALLY found it. It was darn hard, still is. So hey, its not always easy and the "fun" is still there, you just gotta look harder for it

Kazaa was the best, not only for how much you could find, but for all the surprises you came acroos with (fake file names, duplicate ones, etc.), and I have to agree with Malstrom, about the mystic and different of "old files". I think that nowadays, still is to come someone improving the Hamilton masterpieces.....though I guess it is because of the "general wilderness" around minors.

I'll always defend that no all material involving under eighteen girls or boys is nasty or offensive, don't you all agree?

To be honest, I beg to differ... I'm quite fond of finding what I look for without hunting for hours and days... Maybe I lack that stone age man gene...
