do to the recent changes at rapidshare I have moved hosting sites, I dedcided to give megaupload a try.

So far I have uploaded 46 files, they have a total of 343 downloads, but I have recieved only 53 points.

At that rate I will barely get enough points to extend my account, compared to how rapidshare used to work this sucks.

When I signed up for the new account I got 9000 points, If I get 50 points a day that is only 1500, it takes 10000 to extend.

I am truly going to miss rapidshare, At least I got 1 point for each download.

you also do not get credit for files over 100MB.

you can split the files but then people hve to download more files.

I hate that.
I see it a lot on RS where someone splits a file into loads of pieces. On the other hand, on RS you cant upload a file over 200mb it keeps telling me. So once in a while its nice to just grab a 700mb file in one link. I guess people dont mind dling more, as there are some good progs like jdownloader and whatnot, but its a real pain to have to use hj split EVERY file.

I did have a look at the point system on MU it does seem 1 point per download, even for files under 5mb (unlike RS). Same kinda point thing i.e 10k for a months prem. Just like you said, it puts you off uploadng ANYTHING over 100mb Sad Which is often a lot =/
