survival of the cutest - cute girls are more popular and this is good for the beauty gene pool. who knows, maybe in a few thousand yrs, all girls will be cute. maybe that would be wonderful

The symmetry story is true, but only works this way to a certain extend. A face thats more than 95% symmetrical is actually unattractive and scary even to most people. Then again, you won't see a 95% symmetrical face that often in real life ..
And attractiveness is about more than just symmetry. It's, besides that, also about sizes, ratios and distances all over the face and body. But I don't think it was the TS's intention to go there..

Problem is, many guys simply don't dare chatting up the beauties... that's why the ugly chicks still have not died out

Evolutionarily its from both symmetry and gendered features. The symmetry possibly as a sign of healthy genes, and gender signifiers for obvious reasons.

Posters on this forum are probably more attracted to teenagers / young women because they perceive youth as a feminine trait and feminine traits are sexually arousing.
