You could try contacting her agency, but good luck getting a reply Laughing A lot of teen sites have closed due to problems with billing companies. From what I understand, this is because of pressure from credit-card companies who are opposed to teen modelling.

Florence is pretty enough to be a model offline but, for a lot of other models, their 15 minutes of fame and fortune is over. Some of them wouldn't fit the criteria for offline modelling. I even heard of some models who got into music videos as a result of their websites. So, I guess there are a lot of disappointed and frustrated girls out there whose modelling dreams are over.

Just to make it clear, I am opposed to exploitative websites. However, a lot of sites that weren't exploitative and weren't breaking any laws (e.g. Florence's) have been put out of business because of this policy. It's like using a sledge-hammer to crack a nut.

Funny thing is, does anyone ever remember hearing about credit card companies refusing to deal with dictators or arms dealers? Apparently, they're ok but teen models are immoral Laughing

See though mesh outfits on a 'claimed' 1 4 yo is kinda going to struggle to find a legit billing agent.

The billing sites didn't have a problem with teen sites, it was the credit card companies who threatened the billing companies to stop handling teen sites or else they would be punished. I'm guessing it could be a case of cultural imperialism; one country imposing its beliefs on everybody else.

Age of consent varies from country to country and I don't know of a European country where the age of consent is 18. So, if a girl is old enough to have sex, people naturally say she's old enough to wear a mesh top.

Nudity in Europe is not that big a deal. I remember watching the news programme "Blitz" on Sat-1 where I often saw naked people on it even though it came on in the early evening.

Personally, I don't see what harm sites like Florence's did. If she was happy, her family were happy, the authorities in her country were happy, then where was the problem? She is a very pretty girl so why shouldn't she make money from her looks if she wants?

I agree with you Dionysus; Cultural imperialism; one country imposing its beliefs on everybody else. I would like to extend it to any opinions beliefs....The world is very immoral; you are allowed to have sex with a girl at 15 in my country, but you may not have a picture of her - naked. David Hamilton have made several movies with underage girls that is shown in public television all over Europe; If you call it fashion you are allowed to show almost naked underage girls. You are allowed to show your summer-pictures with your naked babies at the beach on your personal web-page as long as you call it ex pictures from your summer holiday.
I hate **** porn and I guess that most of you do the same, but today everybody is so afraid of showing young models in innocent poses because of the witch hunting all over the world.
Moral is good immoral is better Very Happy

Back to Florence...she is really adorable and if anybody see her on a new site, please post it here...thanks

Sorry, I don't have any news on Florence but I wanted to say 1 more thing.

It is very important to prevent exploitation which is why each case needs to be looked at on an individual basis. I firmly believe that any model <18 should have to provide consent from a parent or guardian. I also think that the age of the model, content and context of the photos need to be considered too. For example, if you're old enough to have sex then you should be old enough to do non-nude, topless, or non-explicit nude photos. I don't believe girls who are below the age of consent should do "cheesecake" photos.

Or, if you take the example of David Hamilton, there's a difference between artistic nudes and "cheesecake". Talking of Hamilton, he directed Emmanuelle Beart (famous French actress) in one of her very first films. She was <18 at the time and she had several nude scenes. It hasn't harmed her life or career at all.

So there's a difference between a skilled photographer taking photos having obtained all the necessary consents and some dirty old man with a polaroid taking photos of girls in secret.

I know I talk a lot but I just wanted to make my position absolutely clear Laughing I'd be interested to hear the opinion of Florence herself or her agent if he still visits here.
