After starting my daily UP-Load procedure I received that info :

Quote:
Fehler

My Account Status :
4120 Files
314.368 MB

Any ideas ?
Neither the "News" nor any other informations told me something about any limits
Shocked Shocked

Cheers

Deactivate the Security Lock and go to Settings in NEW Prem Zone: chose option #2: Save files even if account is full - please note our inactivity rule! at Settings for storage limit

RS should have set this as default for existing accounts, or at least mention it somewhere.

The maximum for a premium is 10,000 files (max. size 2 GB) and/or 20 TB (10,000 x 2 GB = 20 TB).

Got this answer by RS.

When?
Is it still the same?

So far RS stores maximum 50 GB in a Prem-Acc (without deletion)

Up to now it changed to te 60 day-inactivity rule for deleting files if you had more than 50 GB (same as for Coll-Accs)

Now you have to change manually the setting and have an option to use TrafficShare for longer inactive files. Maybe RS will be so kind and tell us what this is meaning.

Got it in January (and as far as I can say, no changes since then):

https://www.forumophilia.com/topic108382.html#1331807

And it's like you said.

Without 60 days inactivity max. strage size is 50 GB.

Accounts with more than that, are subjected to the same rules as collector accounts.

The rule about traffic share is:

If you don't want the deletion of files without dl within 60 days, you (the account which stores the files) have to pay for the traffic for that files.
How much, don't know. Maybe RS will tell us soon.

i was faster Razz dec 2009 https://www.forumophilia.com/topic105199.html#1294347
Later you asked RS and they confirmed the limit Wink

I know that i'd have to use my TrafficShare, which i'd have to buy. But obviously you don't have any newer information than i have Razz atm we can only guess ...

IMHO it's confusing users to tell about the 10,000-Files limit here, because the recent messages about "full" accounts have a competely different reason: RS changed something.
You have to swithch an option in order to be able to upload again.

Looks like the typical RS behaviour: changing something without telling anybody and then, maybe when the support guys complain about too many incoming questions, the let us officially know in their "news" section.

This new option is definitely helpful, otherwise it could have happened that you lost some older files when exceeding the 50Gb limit, but hiding this option in the new beta premium zone is not what i would call customer care.

Not sure if it has something to do with that: but in the old premium zone my daily traffic isn't displayed anymore, i have to switch to the new premium zone to see that value. Maybe this new option is just the first step of a reorganization, maybe you can use some of your daily traffic to keep old files alive ...

Worst things are that you have a permanent cookie only in the old Zone, in the new BETA Zone it's a session-cookie, which gets deleted when you close the browser. You'll need to load the old zone before you close the browser in order to stay logged in Evil or Very Mad
And even wose: "the best Tool for RS" doesn't work with the crippled RS-page.

Re-think!
That would be really usefull for uploaders, but RS won't be selling any TS.
Do you really think RS might do this? Twisted Evil

http://images.rapidshare.com/apidoc.txt There you can see that RS doesn't even tell RS about the changes: the status-code "Upload failed! Account is full." (for remote) was added a day later than the changes in the Prem-Area!

I don't understand why they cripple the official, but outdated "old zone" and on the other hand limit the beta in a way, which makes it unusable.
And just to increase the questions to the support: "The FAQ is currently not up to date."
