I'll understand your reaction, but I wouldn't leave the board, because of this single reason.

He's new to the board and English seems not to be his native language.
Maybe it was a simple misunderstanding.

Jiemde, I agree with what was posted above - I do not think this man had bad intentions, he just misunderstood what was said; it is difficult for some people to communicate in not native language...
So, to be short what I want to say - please change your decision and do not leave forum...

Don't leave for that reason alone. I made the same mistake when new to the board and it was brought to my attention and I corrected the problem. Mistakes will be made, it's human nature.

Quick note to anyone who didn't bother to check out the first link --
Jiemde spent a good long while, upping about 30 or so sets, with a days
advance notice to everyone that he was doing it.

So, at EXACTLY the wrong time, someone ELSE stepped in, ignored (or
misunderstood) Jiemde's advanc enotice, and upped those exact same sets.

I can certainly understand why J was more than just a little pissed. I
would have been, too.

So . . . I'm hoping -- hard -- that he stays. And I'd like to actively recruit
a few similar expressions, from others, rather than letting the last three
posts above be the final needle-jab that drives him away.

It's not about whether someone gets pissed. It's about whether he
POSTS! And Jiemde has been a damn fine contributor here. I like him a
lot, and I hope he'll stay.

The guy speaks no English, that's obviously a babelfish or google translation. It might have been better to have found out his language and find a couple users to explain manners to him in his native language rather than go sit and sulk in the corner and hold your breath.

I always assume [I know ass-u-me] that unless the guy I'm talking to is clearly using English syntax and grammar then he's using a translator and they royally suck. I get in more fights with Russians because a translator has got a word or two wrong and I've said something inappropriate.
