BEWARE !!!

There is a new spy-attack out there!! It will transfer all your files, and change all your settings including your favorites. When it hit me, I disconnected from the internet, It didnt help!! It has taken a day to get back to normal including a reformat..
Be careful!! I am one of the begining posters of this site, and would not lie to you!

For which oprating sistem/ version is this so dangerous spy?

Does it have a name? How does it enter the system? By email? A malicious website? File-sharing? Or does someone sneak into your house in the middle of the night and type the code directly into the keyboard?

Perhaps a link to a review of the attacker by Symantec http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/global/index.html would be good.

Were you protected? By what AV? Did u have a firewall? Did u try to roll-back your system to a previous date before formatting?

We need more infos

To tell us there are viruses and trojans on the internet is an oxymoron. There are what? 100 new viruses a day. And Im sure Im wrong on that number.
