Why do so many people like hardcore porn?

Personally I find that 99% of the porn on the internet has no appeal to me as I have no interest in hardcore. What always puzzles me is why am I in such a small minority?

I've always enjoyed the content from the regular European softcore sites, Domai, Met-Art, Hegre, etc and various tasteful and artistic nude sites, with drop dead gorgeous, all natural girls photographed professionally in pleasing scenes. Yet it's obvious from what's prevalent on the internet that most people would rather see a silicon-plastic streotypical pornstar do explicit material.

To me hardcore material seems to have the express purpose of objectifying women. It's as if all the art and beauty has been stripped out and the whole thing broken down into ingredients: "So men like to see women being fucked and exposing themselves, what's the harshest way we can depict this at the lowest cost?". Sort of like the difference between a classic movie and a typical Hollywood blockbuster: "All that art stuff doesn't sell well, lets just boil it down to some gunfights, explosions, throw in some hot actors and just follow the template".

It's a mystery to me how so many people find hardcore material erotic. To me it's frankly disgusting (in a "Ugh! That makes me want to throw up!" way, as well as an artistic standpoint) and completely ruins the mood - better than a cold shower.

Is there anyone else out there who feels the same? If so what are the sites you go to for your erotic fix?

I remember watching some softcore porns on PPV years ago. It would show boobs but no penetration. I think after awhile people wanted to see what they were missing. In came the super close ups and all types of pervy things. I think a good rule is if you like it then go with it. Who cares what others like and don't like?

Well by alternatives to hardcore I don't mean crappy softcore films that don't show much, or sappy erotic movies. What I mean is, say, compare a shoot from Met-Art for example. So much effort has gone into the background setups, the lighting, the models' expressions, everything... it's practically a work of art. And the women are just unbelievably good looking, the kind you'd love to take home ot your mother, yet they certainly don't have qualms about showing everything.

Or take an Abby Winters video... again great looking girls and sex in the videos, but certainly nothing like the typical hardcore video.

On the other hand, a typical hardcore shoot has some woman who looks like she has a vip card to the local clinic, told to "Sit down, shut up and spread your legs". They all look the same, the women basically fit the category of "Could never make it as a model" and have no artistic value whatsoever.

It's not like the only alternative to hardcore is to watch a softcore film with some breasts in it. What I don't get is with such great alternatives available, why is hardcore so popular? What does it offer that those more artistic sites don't?

I feel the same as you. I never look at hc or at girls who show the inside of their pussy. I love gorgeous girls who pose sexy and leave some to fantasize over. Luckily their are some threads here which I like very much.

I tend to agree with most earlier comments. I don't care much for the ones that jump into the sex in the first seconds. I much prefer the "lead in", starting clothed, getting interested, turning hot, stripping, and then doing it in whatever manner.

The large interest in hardcore, I suspect, comes from seeing what you are not getting (the grass always being greener on the other side of the fence).
