Yet another Rapidshare question?

We had a premium account and it has expired. For the last three days,
since it expired, we can not down load anything.

I have cleared the cookies, logged out of the premium account.

I get a "no slots" some times, and other times the timer will run
but then when I click down load it always says "timed out"!

I have tried all different hours and many different files and none
work.

Is this punishment for not renewing the account?

Has anyone else run into this?

I really don't want to renew the account. I don't really
down load that much. I uploaded a bunch of Kate's PG
but didn't get that many points.

If I understand the way it works, if someone downloads
files at the same time, only one gives you points? I had
a lot of downloads, just no points.

Try JDownloader.

It's a small program that dos all the work for you.
No slots available, timer will run automatic again.
I use it for all other Junk-hosters like share-matrix and depositfiles.

We will try that.

I went to the neighbors house, they have the same IP as we do.

I downloaded six files with no problem, came home and tried the
same files and there were no slots. Went back to the neightbos
and they downloaded fine.

I think they "have our number"!

Umm... if your neighbors are not co-paying your account and running off the same modem then they better have a different I.P.

Since it only occurs on your computer, then you have a cookie issue. You should be able to go into your browser settings and clear all cookies [I can't see how to do it on this latest FFox, but I have an outside program do it].

Anyways, clear your cookies. I think there's a spot on Rapidshare to clear the cookie too, or there used to be sorry to be so vague.

My method....

Windows 7 Manger [there are Vista and XP versions], set on boot to crush everything[ except stored passwords], history, cookies, temps files..... everything wiped. Adds a few moments to my boot but it cleans my system out like eating prunes.

Also, if you are using any kind of download helper, even a built-in one check that you are selecting FREE since you no longer have a premium account. I do this by accident with Crypt and hotfile, I accidentally select premium and of course it fails...

And lastly, Rapidshare treats free users like super ultra crap these days.... the old 'no more download sockets available' crap. I've been fighting with them for a year now asking why they take my money but won't let people download my stuff....
