Bonjour à tous,

Since last night, I cann't UPload any file yet with RapidShare...
Either using or not RS-Manager ...
Always the error message : "Aborted"...

And it's the same problem with all my different RS-accounts (I have three different accounts)...

Does somebody have the same problem ???

Thx in advance for your explanations...

(Nota : no problem with the DOWNlaoding...)

I had no problems with RS-Manager today ...

Never heard of "aborted", when does this error happen, at the beginning or at the end?
I would try to upload a 5Mb file via browser and use different carriers, just to see. Maybe also try IE and firefox, and have you tried to upload as a free user. Can you upload files to megaupload or other services, how about uploading pictures to imagehosters? Do you have any security software installed that may block uploads?

Here some answers and further informations :

1. The error happens just at the beginning...

2. For to UPload files, I use a NON-premium account (Collector account) with at now ± 530 files uploaded for 24 850 Mb used storage.
Perhaps it's the maximum allowed ?
If so, what can I do ?
I deleted some old files but without any result...

3. As I have different accounts, I tried also with them... without result.
The same error messages appear !

4. I tryed as a NON registrated user (without Collector nor Premium Account) : it's OK !
Then I created a NEW Collector Account with fantasy name and E-mail adress : OK ! My new file was stored.
Then I tryed to TRANSFER this file into my usual Collector Account : OK !

5. No problem with MegaUpload...

6. I use InternetExplorer and Vista

I'm having severe problems with Premium account. Every time I try to upload a file the server tells me that it has timed out.

RS have just changed servers and I think the new servers aren't operational. It's their problem, not ours, I think.

Was working fine yesterday but today it's impossible.

I've complained but have had no reply yet. Mad

Works for me to upload now, using their Level 3 channel.

So, Jiemde, regarding the other posts it looks like it has something to do with RS server upgrade.
Maybe they have blocked parts of their database temporarily so that uploads to already existing accounts were blocked since it would not have been possible to associate the files to the accounts, but no, then moving files would also not work ... Confused
I'm just guessing ... of course it's no strategy to open a new coll account for every new file, seems like they need a few days more for the french translation Wink

RS-uploader don't work yet this morning...
And it's the same when I try to upload directly from the RS site... with LEVEL3.
But I tried with their other servers – i.e. GLOBAL CROSSING– and it worked after two trials...

One question : do you think that my Internet Explorer (the security settings) could cause this error ?

All is OK now !

And – IMHO – here's the explanation...
(I hope it will be useful for somebody...)

For an unknown reason – perhaps the update of RapidShare on 1st March ? –
the "general settings" of my RS-Uploader were changed!
Especially, the "Upload Carieer" was on : « GLOBALCROSSING » instead of « LEVEL3 » as usually...

Why ?
I don't know ! I never visit this page before !

But as – on my RS-Collector Zone –,
the settings are always on : « LEVEL3 » and not « GLOBALCROSSING »
as you can see here :

there was an incompatibility between these two settings and I couldn't UPload any file...

So, I just changed the RS-Uploader settings
and all works now perfectly with « LEVEL3 » everywhere...

Looks like RS is still upgrading, i noticed today that in the RS premium settings there are no more download servers displayed from which you can choose your preferred one. Only when switching to the new (still beta) RS premium zone you will find these setting and can change them.

Maybe that is part of the problem just18n2009 had, since this looks like a download server problem. My experience is that the auto selection works the best. If you are experiencing an extremly slow download (or no connection at all as above), just cancel and click the original link again since only this can change the download carrier. Canceling in the FF download manager and starting again uses the same server.
