All not well

I was on Pic Post 22.35 today and had unwanted IEx pop-up which would not shut down.
It did not reveal - which may be because of my protection software.
Had to shutdown FFox and re-login.
I post this in spite of the sub-flag but because I wanted to give mods a warning that something was not OK

Hm, do you remember what you did exactly when the pop-up showed?
Was it when clicking on a picture? And what kind of pop-up was it?

Thank you Loui375 for the reply.
The pop-up was a new page which opened in IE rather than the Firefox I was using.
It "took over" and was a bit obstinate in shutting down so I then returned to FF.
My virus software did not beep or signal anything odd.
And yes it was clicking on a picture - perhaps the pic host is a badun.

So did i get you right that you was surfing with FF and a pop-up showed in IE? That would be rather strange.

But pop-ups that are hard to close happen from time to time, especially that LiveJasmin-stuff with embedded content can sometimes freeze your browser (only talking about FF, don't use IE) for some time. Maybe changing the size of the browser cache or installing the newest versions of flash, etc can help and of course configuring java and javascript (what a script may do and what not)

Of course one gets nervous if something is behaving strange, but since you have an antivirus software installed, you should be on the safe side.

If your experience that problem again, maybe remember what imagehoster it was so we can have a closer look.
