A couple of days ago someone did a post [somewhere else] that multiupload could cause a lot of trojan horse problems. I think this sucks cause I prefer to give multiple filehosts so I wouldn't have 2 see someone post can you put this on so & so. And sharebee & mirrorcreator isn't allowed here. Here is the link to what i'm talking about.

Thanks a lot for this info, HORNYBLACK69ER, much appreciated.

Indeed the staff is discussing if such link mirroring sites can be allowed (and if yes which ones) and multiupload was one of it.
No decision has been made yet, so please have patience.

WTF!

If someone is uploading an infected file to RapidShare, will RS be accused being infected and distributing malware, too?

There is a .exe-file in browser-cache, which is loading another file that is stored on a server and can be downloaded directly.
It's just like any file that can be loaded from any server, why should this be me multiuploads fault?

Stupid norton is making big noise - nothing else!
Read this http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=multiupload.com and don't trust in such a 'fake-warning'.

Twisted Evil

One finfected file, hosted on a free file-hoster is no reason to discredit the whole site!
This just shows that norton want's to make you belive that it's doing 'something', whatever that may be...

Hm, guess i misread the report.
My first thought was that this hack.exe was placed in your cache by some of the ads that come with the multiupload front page.
But by re-reading it, it looks more like what userL301 was saying: the hack.exe is the file that is hosted on multiupload, and that's of course not their fault.
Sorry, i was a bit too fast ...

I guess that this is the aim of this report: misleading information that leads to the conclusion the this software offers a good protection.

IMHO there is too much pseudo-information, more confusing than helpfull.
