RAPIDSHARE vs MEGAUPLOAD

Discontinued "Referrer program",
Very difficult downloading for Free-Accounters except during the "happy hours"
(see, for example, here : https://www.forumophilia.com/topic108336.html),
Premium-points allowed ONLY for the downloading by a Premium-Account owner...

It seems that RS is not more THE best filehoster...

I thus intend to use henceforth MegaUpload (which offers furthermore, really, 1 Premium-Point for every download of my files...!)

But before, I would like to know ALL the advantages and the inconveniences of the both hosters (RS and Mega), as well for the contributor as for the downloader : speed, waiting time, limit of download, preservation of uploaded files, convenience of use, files manager program, etc.

I know it's an old debate...
But thank you in advance for your information and your advices...

I have a RS premium and a free MU account.

Added some mirrrors at MU lately.

One MU drawback: The mega manager (MU upload tool) doesn't work reliable, sometimes it disconnects, sometimes it ceases the upload completely.

Never had this problem with one of the RS upload tools (uploader or manager).

Sorry, don't know why, therefore can't help.

I know, that's MU is much better for free users, but it's not as comfortable as RS for free uploader.

And I have to get my files uploaded there, otherwise no one can dl them from MU.

I try to make enough points as free user and upgrade to premium afterwards.
I can use remote upload then and mirror files from my RS account to my MU account.

A very important argument for me : the comfort of the free users (downloaders)...
If I understand, in favor of MU...

MDR : like you, I think I'll try to get a Premium MU and to offer mirror files : a RS link for the RS-Premium and a MU link for the NON RS-Premium...
