vidcaps question

I am sure this question has been answered many times before but I did a search and came up with nothing. Could someone please tell me what program they use to make vidcaps of their videos? I'm not talking about the ALT+Prt Scrn. I'm talking about a program that takes vidcaps every X seconds and makes a single jpg file that summarizes what is in the video. I have some videos I would love to post but I want to make vidcaps so people download them. Thank you.
