Does Rapidshare Still Have a 500 GB Limit?

I'm rapidly approaching the rapidshare 500 gig limit--but I searched for information on that limit everywhere in my rapidshare premium account and there no longer is any mention of any such limit. Does anyone know if their policy has changed?

If they would have set a higher limit than 500 Gb, i guess they also would have advertised it. So i think it's still 500, and i guess i have seen it in the news-section

Thanks--I guess I need to work on my search skills. I found it in the news section as you suggested.

The post was from 2008. I guess soon I'll have to start clearing old stuff off to make room for the new.

Edit: I may just treat myself to a megashare account. No limits at all.

I you have nearly 500Gb in your premium account, why don't you open another premium and move half (or more) of your stuff there.
So you should be able to earn points very fast in the new account to renew it after one month.

A second account would mean I would have to get 240,000 points a year to keep both accounts going without paying.

EDIT: By the way Expat, the collector's account is a good idea if you are almost out of space in your premium. I'm not sure what's its limit but you can have a couple or more of those if you need to.

Does megashare (mega upload/rotic?) erase your files after a specific period without downloading?

RS has a 10000 file limit.

indirectly that's a 200MB*10000=2TB limit (or 20TB if you use 2GB files: premium only).

Pretty easy: I got 10000 Files in my PremiumAccount (more than 800 GB)

i think it's the same limit for Collectors accounts (i got 650 GB in 7500 Files in a CC)

The FAQ at RS doesn't list it anymore, but i think the max. filesize for non-premium downloader is 210000000 Bytes. For 10k files of this size that makes a maximum of 2.1 TB or 1.9 TiB or 1995.78 GiB.
