I know there's some sort of club at 300 posts, and that's cool with me.

I wonder, however, if you consider only the quantity of posts. It seems to me that if someone consistently contributes positively to the board, that 300 posts should not really matter that much.

Conversely, if someone reaches 300 posts and those posts are not contributory, it would seem unfair for that person to get some perks over someone who had contributed to the board.

Perhaps you've already had this discussion and I missed it. If not, I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts.

I think the rule is that most of the 300 posts should be true contributions to the community. It doesn't have to be all uploads, as active participation in forum discussions is encouraged.
Some members have posted little more than 'cool, thanks' or 'nice' 300 times and found their post counts reduced when they requested VIP access. Laughing

The posts that really make me wonder how the 300 is judged is when someone puts up like ten consecutive posts at once when they all could've been combined them into one post. If I'd done that, I could easily have well over a thousand or two by now.

yea, I'd think just posting random junk wouldn't count.

Yes, only thanks and non-content posts doesn't really count, too many thanks would rather be counted as post-flooding and deleted (few posts per day are allowed).

Rule no 8:
8. Do not post a series of short “Thank you” messages or unnecessarily duplicate posts in order to increase your post count. This will be construed as “Post Flooding” and any post which is thought to contravene this rule may be deleted by the moderators.

At least half of your posts should be helpful/valuable/ content posts:
And don't try to stretch your posts, one set or video per post is fine:

Rule no. (b:4):
(b:4) Very small uploaded files and excessively large images posted on the site can be very annoying to other members. Try to keep uploaded files posted here to at least 10mgbs for video files and at least 25 images in picture files.

And you won't get access to VIP automatically, you have to ask an admin who will check your posts, before access is granted.

IMO, it depends on what's being posted. A poster may spend time getting a bunch of posts ready for distribution and then post them in one post. If the material is of different models etc., then it really makes searching for particular models harder. If I input a models name into the search box, I prefer to see it in the results right away instead of having to click the indicated thread and then scroll down thru way too many other things only to find out that the "Blue Angel" I searched for is not really that but maybe Eve Angel and Sarah Blue for example.
So, I will always make a separate post for each scene/topic, keeping search results in mind; I also prefer not to quote in my threads too, this also makes you have to click that search result to see what is posted below...I want people searching for a particular model to see the results right away.
What is definitely not needed (I see this sometimes) is making another post right after a mistake instead of editing the first post, or answering a question etc in your thread with a post and then immediately posting new material. ◄ The quote and reply could always be moved to the bottom of the post when search results are a consideration...
On a side note, I also believe it is only necessary to disguise the models name "Blu3 Ang3l", (not needed) if they are new/have very little material posted on the web. A webmaster is going to be looking for material from his specific website, if he uses a popular models name, the searches will return far too much info, even including all the discussion of said model = way too much...
I also find it annoying when some members "update" their thread by editing the first post. IMO, that should probably be against the rules!

I been reading the 300 posts requests and most of em are being evaluated by the admins wich is cool, don't really think that anyone get access with posts like: "gez thanks dude"

Well actually i found out about the forum by google, trying to find out some camfrog girls, and the thing is I posted some videos in one post, mostly cause i don't like to spam o fill a post with talk or requests specially when it's all about contribution, but since the camfrog girls 2009 post is now not reachable for everyone, i won't be able to contribute as much as i had in mind and won't be getting around 300 post as soon as i tough i would, and i don't mind.

a lot of my posts were in that thread too
they started up another thread in the same section so I've added a couple vids to it.

i always thought that if a thread was locked it didnt affect your post count right? cause most of my uploads have been in a threead which has recently been removed and i'd say 45% of them were video contributions , luckily my post count hasnt diminished so please keep it that way Razz

I've always felt that saying thanks is polite, so I try to do that every time I find something interesting, but never really thought that if someone posts something they would expect me to turn into Hemingway and write a novel every time I say thanks. This is why I'm actually for this 300 club, if you contribute, you'll get something as a reward, but at the same time grateful members of this forum, like me, can still view the other sections where the simple "thank you" is enough. Unlike some unmentioned forum where I had 500+ posts during number of years, but got banned from there since I haven't uploaded enough material.

of course now when there's "you need so and so many posts to view this message" it pretty much leads to 10 pages of "Thank you" replies after each post so people can keep their post amounts up. Not complaining, if by doing so we can keep this forum free then I'm all for it Smile
