Hm, only two applications come to my mind:
- xnview
- irfanview
They are both not very comfortable when it comes to viewing videos, but i guess you can tell irfanview to use the default player.
And i think both are very slow when making previews of videos clips.
But i guess it's the same with acdsee: the first visit of a folder takes very long, but once the thumbnails are generated and stored, it's easy to come back.
I tried both long ago, but wasn't satisfied, so i still go through my folders with the windows explorer. Since i have put some shortcuts to different viewer in my "send-to" menu, i can choose from the explorer-window which player i like to use on certain videos. No need to open a player and run through the open dialogs anymore.
But i would be glad is someone else has some suggestions.
