I attempted to download torrents tonight (off Piratebay, using Frostwire) for the first time in a few months. They're popular torrents (1000+ seeders listed), but for some unknown reason, nothing's downloading. Instead, all I get is a notice saying "waiting for seeders."

This was never an issue when I was living in Asia, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I'm now back in N. America.

Do ISPs block applications such as Frostwire from downloading torrents here?

If so, is there a way to work around it?

Any advice'd be appreciated.

I stopped using Frostwire for that reason a while back, and when they would actually download the speed would be ridiculously slow, like <2 kb/s.

I have no idea why it did that though.

I recommend that you just get utorrent from [url]
Code:
http://www.utorrent.com
[/url] that should take care of your problem. You can still download any torrent and I doubt that ISP's can block programs, it could be a firewall issue though.
