After several thumbs were reported on imagerevenue in my thread I decided to try some different pic hosting sites. While using pics-hosting I got several virus warnings with my antivirus. Then there was after a bit a microsoft warning that this web site is considered unsafe warning as the site began throwing pop ups inside the web page itself as I was uploading thumbs.
Hope I explained this right and just thought I should tell someone.

Several people reported pics-hosting already and there's a discussion in the mods section.

Will be banned pretty soon, so it's better to use another hoster.

Oh no, please don't bann it: it's perfect for hotlinking big images.
But you are right, it's a pest when using it in thumbnail-mode.
So maybe just ban the use of thumbnails ...

svinto allowed it for hotlinking usage only.

But if there are many members using it with thumbnails, it will be banned.

i just spent ten minutes trying to download an attached preview pic of a posted video. it loads halfway, then lags right up and tries to tell me that it's "transferring data." and it does this EVERY SINGLE TIME for practically every attached image i've tried to open. plus, when i right-click and select "view image," Firefox asks me what i want to do with the file.

i have a good internet connection, so the problem is most like server-side. just figured i'd let you guys know about a pretty serious issue.

Which one (post the link to the thread here)?!?

I tried it with my own thread (flag) and several attached pictures open fine and I'm able to download each of them.

I'm using FFX as well.

I got a PM about BigPicHost.com. I don't know what the problem is with the site, but I only use it to post large images. You never get a link to the site, so there can't possibly be a problem with it. You won't even know it's being used unless you check, and there's no reason to. Same thing as pic-hosting.
