Attaching images to a post

I'm trying to attach an image to a post. I put the url of the image, in this case http://www.imagebam.com/image/d05f4922008057. I then highlight it and hit the Img button which puts [img] tags around it. But when I submit the post, it just shows the code instead of the image. What am I doing wrong?

Use the code supplied by the site - there are usually various options; this one is for a thumbnail.

Attachment function of the board does not work at the moment.

But to add a picture to a post by using an external image hoster, you should use the correct BBCode:

When I try to reply to a post and attach an image I get the following error:
"500: internal server error"

this did not occur until some time ago.

any help is appreciated

That's a boards' server problem.

You should use an external image hoster until it's fixed.
