That's irritating me: you use compression when packing videos. Don't do that. Videos are alreday compressed (by their codec) and the result is mostly only a few kb smaller, but you need more time to pack (and unpack) the file. So better just store (no compression).
But to the topic: Since i'm always packing my vids with WinRAR, it depends on the file size. If they are under 200Mb (single part rar) i just add the preview pic into the rar. Other posters add a small txt file called delete.me or space.txt, whatever.
When using WinRAR you can add "recovery information", but everything that makes the file larger than only a few kb is useless imo.
If the file is bigger than 200Mb (means you get part1.rar and so on) i just alter the split-file limit (from maybe 200.000.004 to .005).
There are also some tools around that just change a single bit in your video, and that's enough to fool the RS-upload filter.
And you can just alter the timestamp of the vid (by using maybe "PropertiesPlus", give you an extra utem in the file context menue), just set the date to the actual time, repack it and you can upload it again without changing more.
