Can anyone recommend a free program (not a trial) or maybe know of one that's out there with a serial included to make avi files from copy protected DVD's? One that will compress a DVD to a 700mb AVI file like I always see...I am currently running ANYDVD so that may help with the protection.

Thanks in advance. Very Happy

I use Total Video Converter, it's the only one i know so i can't say it's the best, but it works forever, it's easy to find and use and supports almost every type of file i know (DVD rip to avi of course).
It's also usefull if you want to convert audio, or video to audio.

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions, I've tried all three and so far I like AutoGK the best primarily cause it was the only one that completely filled my screen leaving zero black space on the ends (left & right) of the Hollywood movie I was using. Looks like I can use all three for one thing or another. I'll report back again after I've had more time with them. Very Happy
